Home Show Display: Log Cabin
We were honoured to be selected as the feature display for the 2007 Vancouver Home Show following the overwhelming success of our handcrafted log home at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino. For the show, we assembled a 1,255 sq. ft. log home—crafted from sustainably harvested, mountain-pine-beetle–affected pine with its signature blue tinge—right inside BC Place. In just eight days, our team fully finished the home with BC-made cabinetry, furniture, lighting, artwork, and a beautifully landscaped outdoor setting complete with live trees, stonework, gardens, and water features. More than 70,000 visitors toured the display, and the home sold within hours of the show’s opening. It was an incredible opportunity to showcase the quality, craftsmanship, and innovation that define Sitka Log Homes.
